If you want to enable or disable automatic app updates, you can do it in the Settings app. Voila the news app will be set to your new region. I thought i would share with you how to solve it as i could not find an answer anywhere online that didn't involve a factory reset.ġ) Update Apple ID Region (change payment details on Apple ID)Ģ) Update Region & Language on device (Settings>General>Language & Region> change both.ģ) delete the News app (From your home screen, hold down the News app until it starts jiggling>press the 'x' button in the top left corner of the app)Ĥ) download the News app from App store (this works because you are downloading from the new region in the app store, if the first two step are not taken then it will likely not work) 1) Update Apple ID Region (change payment details on Apple ID) 2) Update Region & Language on device (Settings>General>Language & Region> change both. ![]() After a lot of playing around I found the Answer. I have been looking around and the main focus is to change both your Apple id region and iPhone/Mac region and language, while this did change the app store region, the News App region did not change. Having just moved from the UK to Australia i wanted to find out from the community how to change region on the Apple News App.
